David Orazietti - Spearheading Educational and Community Initiatives
A resident of Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario, David Orazietti has educational leadership achievements that include a past role as Sault College president. He drove significant investment in the Aviation Department, while guiding departments such as Environment, Skilled Trades, Business, and Culinary as Dean. David Orazietti also built sustained working relations with local industries and healthcare organizations, and collaborated with the Ministry of Colleges, Universities, Research Excellence and Security.
Mr. Orazietti received an Algoma University Award in 2023, which made him an honorary member of the campus community and reflected his substantial impact in advancing educational initiatives and serving the needs of area students. That year, he also received the Medal of Merit, the highest medal that the City of Sault Ste. Marie awards. This reflected Mr. Orazietti’s unflagging work on behalf of local residents as City Councillor and Member of Provincial Parliament (MPP), representing and benefiting the community.
David Orazietti’s extensive experience in the public realm has extended to effectively managing media and communications, and he has issued more than 2,000 press releases throughout his career. His provincial board and committee experience includes membership on the Provincial Cabinet Committee on Health, Education and Social Policy.
